Seeen above are compensating beam and equalising beams of conventional loc. CLW has introduced templates for checking above for quality purpose.

New items for bogie
This additional rod in the brake rigging of middle axle has been a new quality input.
This additional tie bar between brake rigging has helped in reducing problems due to vibrations at high speed .

Failure of Axle Box Guide Post
The guide link it is a forged material.
Recently Bhilai Loco shed reported weld failure of Axle Box Guide Post in loco # 31285 ( WAG9). It was reported to be a VS ( Ved Sessonica - Kanpur) bogie and failure was reported on inner side of the post-weld frame.
But lateron our staff Sh A Senbakhsi reported that it was shop manufactured bogie.9 #257B)
