How Traction Motors are manufactured?

Audit of following Work Instructions was done in TM Shop. Report is as follows:-

Assembly of short circuit cage( W 21.404):-

Points noticed:-

• Record of the stack length measurement should be taken as prescribed in para 3.9 and para 3.11 and para 3.15 of this WI.

• Pressing machine gauge for measuring 45T pressure due for calibration.

• Auxilary pressing ring as mentioned in para 3.14 of this WI being made available in the shop.

• Tightening of nuts as mentioned in para 3.15 of this WI should be done with torque wrenches.

• Source of half rings could not be traced .

TEW make traction link bolt’s lab test report has come today. Sample has failed the chemical test and passed the hardness test. In CLW quality is paramount.
